An international survey on experiences of care facilities during Covid-19

The current COVID-19 pandemic continues to devastate the world. One of the most affected populations is people living in care facilities - whether in institutions or private homes. Estimates suggest that up to 50% of global mortality has occurred in these environments. This is a human tragedy of unprecedented scale.

SOTERA, the research group of Health and Wellbeing Architecture at Aalto University in Helsinki, Finland,  has created a brief international questionnaire to collect experiences from the pandemic situation. The questionnaire is open to ALL stakeholders, residents, peers, families, care providers, volunteers and others. We believe that gathering experiences from as wide an audience as possible will best help us inclusively vision better solutions for the future.

Please join us in participating in this important survey, which is part of Aalto University’s active initiatives to address the pandemic. Any questions and media inquiries can be directed to professor Laura Arpiainen at laura.arpiainen@aalto.fi.  We thank you in advance and invite you to share the links widely in your networks, particularly those involved in social care environments.
