Health Architecture in Latin America

The book is the result of a great collaborative effort and addresses knowledge about the planning, design and sustainable and innovative construction of health buildings (hospitals, clinics, health centers) through the experience of ten countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela, as well as some from Central America and the Caribbean.

The virtual publication proposes, as a starting point, to socialize the most emblematic projects developed in the field of health architecture, as well as the challenges linked to the public hospital infrastructure in Latin America and the Caribbean. In addition, it analyzes the historical, social, demographic, environmental and institutional contexts; and gives food for thought to optimize public investment in this sector.
