Sykehusbygg Conference 2019

Sykehusbygg, the national agency for planning and constructing hospitals in Norway arranged the 5th national conference in Trondheim with the headline sustainability. With the 17 UN goals for sustainability the conference showed from different views a direction for planning and building hospitals. Most of the presentations was in Norwegian, but Susan Grant from NHS Scotland and Johanne Moe Entwistle from AART Architects presented in English. There were 350 attendees from health regions, clinical staff and facility managers from hospitals, architects, engineers.

There were good presentations where sustainability was addressed from the patient perspective, from the Ministry of Health and Care Services, The United Nations Association of Norway and entrepreneur companies.

Sykehusbygg presented models for project management, the work with concept programs for ED, radiology and bed wards, Enterprise BIM and digitalisation for managing facilities, model for calculating future activity and capacity needs and the work with guidelines for security and for environmental performance.
