Future Hospitals Journal

Recently launched by the UK's Royal College of Physicians (RCP), the Future Hospitals Journal builds on the work of the Future Hospital Commission, which was established in 2012 to address concerns about standards of care in hospitals and to develop a comprehensive model of care for the future.  The final report of the Commission, Future hospital: caring for medical patients, was published in September 2013.

Following the report, the RCP embarked on publishing a new journal, to provide "a sustainable longā€term forum for debate and innovation around the delivery of secondary healthcare, with a focus on improving patient care and management through process and system change."  You can find out more about the journal's aims and scope, and how to contribute, here.

For EuHPN members, and everyone interested in healthcare infrastructure development, this journal should provide a valuable forum for discussion and expert exchange of views with clinicians, managers and policy makers.  The most recent edition focuses on the heatlhcare built environment, with contributions from Blair Sadler, Robin Guenther, Spencer de Grey and Andy Black, among many other well-known scholars and commentators.  You should be able to access the February 2015 edition here.
